Effects of Hurricane Sandy on Columbia Waterfront

On Degraw Street between Vanbrunt and Columbia, the boards covering
an abandoned lot blew off revealing a long-abandoned structure and
the back of a parking lot where food trucks are parked.

On Vanbrunt, barriers to construction sites were blown over.
The trench below was filled with several feet of water.
A tree on Columbia and Union, which routinely drops
branches in windstorms, lost a few more limbs.
A long strip of metal dangles from a garage door.
