"Sopranos" Actor Look-Alike Confesses to Hacking up 8-Year Old
John Ventimiglia (left) played the weasely restaurant owner Artie Bucco on "Sopranos" and was arrested for real-life DWI and cocaine possession near his Park Slope home several years ago. Levi Aron (right), hardware store clerk, karaoke enthusiast, and aspiring "American Idol" contestant, confessed to picking up an 8-year-old boy in Borough Park, feeding him a tuna sandwich, then smothering him and cutting him into pieces.

Milan Kundera Look-Alike Accused of Raping a Maid and a Novelist
Milan Kundera (left), Czech-born author of "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," and possible tattletale, resides in France where he has been a citizen since 1981. Dominique Strauss-Kahn (right) is a French economist who resigned as IMF Chief after a maid accused him of sexual assault at the Sofitel hotel in Manhattan. A French novelist later claimed he did the same thing to her 10 years ago.

Humans Innately Liberal?
"Through ethnographic and cross-cultural studies, researchers have concluded that the basic template for human social groups is moderately but not unerringly egalitarian," The NY Times reports. Human evolution relied heavily upon cooperative efforts in the development of agriculture. For example, you will never see two chimpanzees lifting a log together. Furthermore, studies show the idea of fairness may be deeply ingrained our psyche.
"In a recent analysis of five hunter-gatherer populations, Eric Aiden Smith of the University of Washington and his colleagues found the average degree of income equality to be roughly half that seen in the United States, and close to the wealth distribution of Denmark."
So the 23% increase in top executives' pay in the U.S., despite worsening financial situations for most regular workers, might mean that Americans are actually de-evolving.
